Viet Nam, Switzerland agree on repatriation of illegal migrants
(VNA) - Viet Nam and Switzerland reached an agreement on repatriation of illegal Vietnamese migrants from Switzerland.
The document, signed in Ha Noi on Sept. 12, will serve as a legal basis for cooperation between relevant agencies in both Viet Nam and Switzerland in solving immigration and consular issues. It will also help promote friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The signatories were the Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Dung and the Swiss Ambassador to Viet Nam Benedict de Cerjat.
Christine Egerszergi Obrist, Vice President of the Swiss National Council, and members of a visiting delegation from the Swiss parliament, who are in Viet Nam to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Viet Nam-Switzerland diplomatic ties, witnessed the signing./.
