Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong was speaking at a meeting with more than 80 heads of Viet Nam's overseas representative offices who are attending the 25th conference of the diplomatic sector in Ha Noi.

The NA Chairman urged officials working overseas to closely follow strategic research and to help the Party and the State work out foreign policy.

He also asked the diplomats to increase efforts in encouraging Vietnamese communities in their assigned countries to make contributions to the development of the homeland and to help foreign friends better understand the land and people of Viet Nam./.
