Viet Nam seeks closer ties with Chinese provinces

(VNA) - Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman, Nguyen Phu Trong, paid a visit to the capital city of Heilongjiang province, Harbin, on April 11.

Meeting with local authorities, the Vietnamese leader called on the Chinese business community, particularly those from Heilongjiang, to intensify their investment platforms in Viet Nam.

He wished that the cooperation between provinces of the two neighbouring countries would be expanded to match the relations that the two nations now share.

Qian Yunlu, Secretary of Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, affirmed his belief that the relationship between the two countries would be deepened thanks to the efforts of the two countries’ leaders.

On the same day, NA Chairman Trong visited the Harbin Electric Inc, which is an active partner in the construction of power projects in Viet Nam, such as the Cao Ngan and Cam Pha thermo-electric power plants and the Tuyen Quang hydroelectric power plant./.
