Vice State President meets Francophone special envoy

Vice State President Truong My Hoa received the Special Envoy of the General Secretary of the International Organisation of Francophone Countries (OIF), Ousmane Paye, in Ha Noi on May 16.

Paye said he was impressed by the land and people of Viet Nam, saying that OIF General Secretary Abdou Diouf had always placed a primary importance on Viet Nam's role and contributions to the Francophone community.

Suggestions from Viet Nam have been put high on the agenda of Francophone summits, he said.
Vice President Hoa said Viet Nam's participation in IOF has brought the country international prestige on the world arena, practical benefits and valued experiences.

Viet Nam pledges to pay greater attention to economic cooperation among Francophone countries and work towards a united and developed Francophone community, she added./.
