National Assembly delegation tours European countries
On June 8, Deputy Chairman Duoc was received by President of Swiss National Council Christine Egerszegi Obrist, who praised the extensive cooperation between the two countries.
Obrist said that Switzerland was interested at Viet Nam's strong economic performance and supported the country in combining economic development with social equality, environmental protection and narrowing development gaps among localities.
Deputy Chairman Duoc expressed his hope that both sides would boost exchanges of MPs delegations and set up friendship parliamentarian groups to tighten bilateral cooperation.
Earlier in Italy, Deputy Chairman Duoc met with Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Carlo Leoni.
Leoni committed that the Italian parliament would further develop the relations between the two legislative bodies and be ready to support Viet Nam on international forums. Deputy Chairman Duoc meanwhile said Viet Nam wished to build the relations with Italy on a trustful and sustainable partnership.
During his stay in Italy from May 31 to June 6, Duoc had working sessions with Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Deputies' Office Gabriele Albonetti and Chairman of the Committee for External Affairs Umberto Ranieri.
In Greece, the Vietnamese legislative official worked with Chairman of the Greek Parliament's Committee for Economic Affairs Skrekas K. Theodoros and met some Vietnamese representatives in Greece.(VNA)
