Viet Nam to host 18th Global Summit of Women
The president was addressing the concluding ceremony of the three-day 17th summit in Berlin on June 16, which drew almost 1,000 representatives from 95 countries around the world.
As the host of the 2008 summit, Vice President Truong My Hoa stressed that the 17th summit's success has created a benchmark in the implementation process of the Millennium Development Goals on gender equality and advancement of women, particularly in economy and trade.
She noted the news that the 18th summit will be held in Ho Chi Minh City is heartening the country's women in general and businesswomen in particular.
Vice President Hoa and her entourage on June 17 called on Munich city in Bavaria and attended the Viet Nam-Germany Business Forum within the framework of the delegation's working visit to Germany.(VNA)
