Tourism sector likely to exceed 2007 target
The tourism administration predicted that the sector is likely to exceed the year's set target as the Viet Nam welcomed over 2.1 million foreign visitors in the first six months.
The figure represented a 14.7 percent increase over the same period last year.
The sector had set a target between 4-4.4 million foreign visitors, a surge of 0.4-0.8 million compared to last year's figure.
According to preliminary statistics, Chinese tourists topped the list, followed by the Republic of Korea, the US and Japan.(VNA)
