Ho Chi Minh City gaining reputation as conference provider
Viet Nam 's economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City has been increasingly favoured by exhibitors as destination to launch trade shows.
Opened on August 2, an international exhibition on transportation - AUTOPETRO 2007, brought together automakers from Thailand, Malaysia, China, Germany, Japan, Singapore and Viet Nam .
New models of cars, spare parts, after-sale services and other industry supporting products are on display at the event, which is the tenth incarnation to be held in the country.
Also kicking off on August 2 was a tradeshow on security and safety equipment.
VN Security 07 drew the participation of 16 local security equipment producers and businesses together with Israeli and Chinese suppliers and foreign groups that provide security software solutions.
Disaster warning systems, security firewalls for the Internet and mobile phone users, surveillance equipments for offices and pubic works and security devices for home use were all popular attractions at the exhibition.- (VNA)
