Five new ambassadors present credentials

Five new incoming ambassadors from Brunei, Finland, France, Malaysia and Venezuela presented their credentials to State President Nguyen Minh Triet on August 8 to mark the beginning of their mission in Vietnam.

At these separate meetings, held after the guests had presented credentials, the Vietnamese State President reiterated the country’s foreign policy with a view to expanding friendship and co-operation with other nations.

He said he believed that the new incoming Ambassadors will bring about many initiatives to boost relations between Vietnam and their countries.

Brunei Ambassador Dato Paduka Haji Mahadi Bin Haji Wasli, Finish Ambassador Pekka Hyvonen, French Ambassador Herve Bolot (France), Malaysian Ambassador Lim Kim Eng and Venezuelan Ambassador Jorge Rondon Uzcategui spoke highly of Vietnam's struggle for national liberation in the past and its achievements in social-economic development.

They also conveyed congratulatory messages from their heads of state to President Triet on his re-election as State President at the 12th National Assembly session. (VNA)
