French Ambassador hopes to strengthen relationship

France’s new Ambassador to Viet Nam Herve Bolot told the media at a press briefing in Ha Noi on August 14 that he is committed to taking the France-Viet Nam relationship into a new arena.

The Ambassador said France views the country as potentially rich in opportunity and that French businesses are eager to embank on long-term partnerships with Vietnamese firms.

France leads European countries in investing in Viet Nam and is hoping to broaden its influence in other areas such as education.

Bolot had signed over 700 senior high school graduation certificates for French-Vietnamese bilingual classes after taking office and considered these initiative as a solid foundations to develop subjects in the French language at universities in the country. Close to 5,000 Vietnamese students are currently studying at universities in France- (VNA)
