Legislative committee to focus on foreign-related tasks
Ha Noi (VNA) – The National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs said it would focus on examining several foreign-related draft laws, considering them key tasks for between now and the end of this year.
During a plenary session in Ha Noi on August 28, the committee also decided upon its tasks for the future, including placing an emphasis on supervising the implementation of border and territory agreements with neighbouring countries and a decree on overseas Vietnamese.
Participants at the session also discussed a number of draft laws on individual income, amnesty and infectious disease prevention and control.
A majority of the participants stressed the need for the enactment of the bill on individual income, saying that the law would help contribute to increasing justice and equality in the context of international economic integration.
Support was given for the prompt enactment of the law on infectious disease prevention and control, describing the law as an important step to perfecting health care and improving policies amid the increased number of outbreaks of serious diseases.
