Viet Nam, Germany aim shipbuilding, education

Ha Noi (VNA) – Viet Nam and Germany should cooperate more closely in shipbuilding, maritime transport, tourism, and education and training, which are areas of strengths that the two nations share.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and German Federal Council President Harald Ringstorff both echoed the calls at a meeting in Ha Noi on September 4.
According to PM Dung, Germany is Viet Nam’s largest partner among the EU country members. Many German businesses have been performing well in Viet Nam, however, cooperation between the two countries is yet to meet its potential, he said.
Viet Nam-Germany relations have developed well, the German Federal Council head said, suggesting that the two countries should promote cooperation in economic and education and training sectors and in particular work together on the establishment of a German university in Viet Nam.
German Federal Council President Harald Ringstorff is on an official friendship visit to Viet Nam that began on September 3.
