Party official meets with Chinese vice president


Truong Tan Sang, politburo member and permanent member of the secretariat of Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee, met with Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong, who is also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC), in Beijing on Sept. 5.

At the talk, the Chinese vice president stressed that the leaders and people of China always attach importance to developing a friendly neighbourhood with Viet Nam, considering it a common property of the two Parties and two nations.

Zeng also said he highly valued Sang’s visit to China and this visit will help boost the friendship, comprehensive cooperation and mutual trust between China and Viet Nam.

For his part, the Vietnamese senior Party official said the CPV delegation’s China visit from September 4-9 aims to realise agreements reached between high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two States on increasing the exchange of high-ranking delegations, strengthening their friendship, cooperation and mutual trust as well as further develop the all-round relationship between the two Parties and nations.

He also affirmed that the Party, State and people of Viet Nam will do their utmost to foster the traditional friendship between Viet Nam and China under the motto of “good neighbourliness, comprehensive cooperation, long-lasting friendship and future-oriented vision” and the spirit of “good neighbours, good comrades, good friends and food partners,” that were defined by the two countries’ leaders.

Earlier, Sang and his entourage met with He Guoqiang, politburo member of the CPC, secretary of the Secretariat and head of the Organising Department of the CPC Central Committee.

The delegation will also visit several economic areas and cultural sites in Shenxi and Yunnan provinces.-(VNA)
