Viet Nam, Cuba affirm solidarity, cooperation
Cuba is determined to fortify the solidarity and cooperative ties with Viet Nam on the path of socialist construction, affirmed Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) Central Committee Secretary Fernando Remirez de Estenos.
Fernando Remirez de Estenos, who doubles as head of the CPC’s External Relations Commission, made the affirmation while receiving visiting Le Minh Hien, member of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee in Havana on September 30.
Hien is heading a Vietnamese delegation to Cuba to attend celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the Cuban Committee for the Defence of the Revolution.
The Cuban party official spoke highly of the solidarity and cooperation between Cuba and Viet Nam through Viet Nam’s annual rice supply to Cuba and its assistance in helping Cuba implement a household based rice growing project.
For his part, Hien extended his thanks to the Party, Government and people of Cuba for their assistance given to Viet Nam and affirmed that Viet Nam always stands shoulders by shoulders with Cuba. (VNA)
