Friendship House opens in Caracas to boost bilateral ties
The Venezuela-Viet Nam Friendship House opened in Caracas on Thursday with the aim to boost the multi-faceted co-operation between the two countries.
The House made its debut after the Viet Nam-Venezuela Friendship Association was established in Ha Noi on July 18.
Venezuela’s Bolivarian News Agency (ABN) quoted the House’s president, Octavia B. Rodriguez, as stating that recently-signed cooperative agreements will benefit both countries. He also spoke of Viet Nam’s expected technical support in aquaculture. For its part, Venezuela would help the Southeast Asian country in the oil and gas field.
Rodriguez said the House’s first activity would be a ceremony to mark the 43 rd anniversary of Hero Nguyen Van Troi’s death at the Teresa Carreuo Theatre on next Tuesday. — VNS
