Panama’s DRP delegation visits Viet Nam


A delegation of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (DRP) of Panama led by its third Secretary Reinaldo Rivera met with Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and Permanent Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), in Ha Noi on Oct. 11.

The Panama head delegate appreciated the great achievements recorded by the CPV and the Vietnamese people in the renewal process, describing them as a major encouragement to the DRP and people of Panama.

Rivera expressed wishes for further development of friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and the two peoples.

In reply, the host expressed thanks for great support extended by the Panamanian people and the DRP to the Vietnamese people in their past struggle for national liberation and current Socialist construction.

“May the traditional relationship between the two Parties and peoples further develop,” said the senior CPV official.

Earlier, the Panamanian guests had a working session with the CPV Central Committee’ Commission for External Affairs. The two sides informed each other of the situation regarding their individual Parties and nations and exchanged views of international issues of mutual concerns and measures to boost relations between the DRP and the CPV.

The delegation also worked with the Ha Noi Party Committee, visited residence and office of the late President Ho Chi Minh and toured several cultural sites in Ha Noi and the tourist-booming Quang Ninh province. (VNA)
