Viet Nam-Luxembourg partnership committee meets


The fourth meeting of the Viet Nam-Luxembourg partnership committee took place in Ha Noi on October 11.

Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc, Luxembourg Minister of Cooperation, Development, Humanitarian Affairs, Defence and Communications Jean Louis Schiltz attended the meeting.

The two sides reviewed cooperation between the two countries in the recent past, the socio-economic development in Viet Nam and the aid effectiveness as well as exchanged views on the aid methods.

Luxembourg recently granted Viet Nam 50 million EUR in the fields of agriculture, vocational training, health care and infrastructure.

At the meeting, Minister Schiltz and UN Resident Coordinator in Viet Nam John Hendra signed an agreement to finance Viet Nam’s One UN Initiative.

Another agreement on strengthening the access and quality of reproductive health care was also signed between Minister Schiltz and Chief Representative of the UN Population Fund in Viet Nam.-(VNA)
