Vietnamese, Turkish news agencies ink protocol
Director General of the Viet Nam News Agency (VNA) Nguyen Quoc Uy and Chairman-Director General of Turkey’s Anadolu News Agency (AA) Dr. Hilmi Bengi have signed a cooperation protocol between the two news agencies in Ankara, Turkey.
Under the protocol signed on October 22, both sides agreed to exchange English daily news services, photos, high-level delegations and reporters.
VNA Director General Uy affirmed that VNA news sources will be enriched with news coming from Turkey - a country is located in a point where the three continents (Asia, Europe and Africa) are closest to each other and a bridge that connects the East and the West.
VNA has signed news exchange documents with more than 30 news agencies and press organisations throughout the world, he added.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Turkey Nguyen Sy Xung said that the news exchange protocol between VNA and AA will not only help promote the mutual understanding between the Vietnamese and Turkish people but also provide news for the two countries’ businesspeople to make their investment plans.
Set up in April, 1920, AA has 32 bureaus and 40 correspondents in 26 countries worldwide.-(VNA)
