Singaporean PM meets Vietnamese Ambassador
Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong met Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Trung Thanh on November 1. The ambassador conveyed Vietnamese leaders’ best regards to the PM.
PM Lee expressed his hope to welcome Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to Singapore and his belief that the Vietnamese PM would contribute to making the ASEAN Summit in Singapore from November 18-22 a success.
The PM said Singapore will promote cooperation with Viet Nam and accelerate economic ties between the two countries. He also said he pay attention to Viet Nam’s reforms in the financial, banking, information, transport, airport and port systems.
PM Lee pledged to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese major economic groups to run business in his country.
Ambassador Thanh thanked Singapore for its assistance to Viet Nam.
He committed to do his best to contribute to boosting the two countries’ cooperation, particularly in promoting Viet Nam-Singapore economic ties.(VNA)
