Chinese high-level army delegation visits Viet Nam
Sen. Lieut. Gen. Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Political Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, arrived in Ha Noi on November 15 for an official visit to Viet Nam .
Li, who is leading a high-level political officers delegation, is guest of General Le Van Dung, Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, Permanent member of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Politics Department of the Viet Nam People’s Army (VPA).
On November 16, the Chinese army delegation held a working session with a high-level VPA political delegation headed by Gen. Dung.
Sen. Lieut. Gen. Li stressed on a plan to further exchange visits with the VPA’s General Politics Department to share experiences in the Party and political work, increase gatherings between young army officers, and boost exchanges of culture and art performances among the two armies, thus handing down fine relations between the two armies from generations to generations.
Following the talks, the two senior army officers signed an agreement of cooperation on the Party and political work between the two armies’ political general departments.
Also on the day, Sen. Lieut. Gen. Li and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to State President Nguyen Minh Triet and Minister of Defence Gen. Phung Quang Thanh.
In the evening, Gen. Dung feted the Chinese guests. (VNA)
