MoU with Russia to better juridical ties
Viet Nam and Russia on Dec. 5 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two countries’ supreme courts.
The MoU was signed by Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh and his Russian counterpart Vyacheslav Lebedev during the Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Russia from December 1-5
Under the MoU, the two courts will prepare the contents of a cooperation agreement between the two courts to be signed during the Russian chief justice’s visit to Viet Nam early next year.
In meetings in Russia , the two sides discussed measures to expand cooperation between the two courts including exchanging delegations, information and experiences, and training juridical workers.
Binh also shared Viet Nam ’s experiences regarding juridical reform and anti-crime activities with Russian juridical agencies.
The Vietnamese chief justice affirmed that the visit would help further develop the cooperation of the two countries’ supreme courts and juridical sectors, within the framework of Viet Nam-Russia strategic relations.- (VNA).
