Italian Defence Secretary General visits Viet Nam
A delegation from Italian Defence Ministry, headed by Lieutenant General Gianni Botondi, Secretary General for Defence and National Armaments Director of Italy, paid an official visit to Viet Nam from Dec. 6-8.
The Italian military delegation held talks with a high-level delegation of the host country’s National Defence Ministry.
The two sides informed each other about the work to build up armed forces of each country and exchanged views on organising structure of national defence ministry.
They agreed to set up working groups on bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual concern.
The guests laid wreaths at the Martyrs Monument and visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. They also called at the Viet Nam Military History Museum and some landscapes in Ha Noi and Ha Long Bay in northern Quang Ninh province.-(VNA)
