Viet Nam has called on businesses from Italia’s southeast coastal region of Puglia to invest in the country and share their experiences in fisheries and sea tourism.
The appeal was made by Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Van Nam during a seminar on investment opportunities in Viet Nam, which took place in Puglia’s capital of Bari on December 6.
Silvio Panaro, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce (Eastern region), said at the seminar - the first of its kind held in the region - that Viet Nam is a big and potential market for Italian businesses in general and Puglia’s businesses in particular.
Businesses from Puglia have so far this year imported 3.5 million EUR worth of commodities from Viet Nam, mostly agricultural products and garments. They exported to Viet Nam 516,000 EUR worth of products, 200,000 EUR higher than last year.- (VNA)
