Vietnamese communists visit Mozambique

Vietnamese party officials made a visit to Mozambique with the aim of bolstering the relationship between the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO).

They met with FRELIMO General Secretary Filipe Paunde and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Alcinda Abreu as well as other party and government officials during the visit from December 11 to 14.

Mozambique officials said they were all delighted with the growing friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries.

They expressed their hope that their country’s cooperation with Viet Nam in the fight against poverty, wet-rice farming, fisheries, education, and healthcare will be beefed up in the coming time.

The Mozambique officials also said they are looking forward to a visit by Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh as they considered this a milestone to the two parties and the two countries.- (VNA).
