Viet Nam determined to boost ties with Cuba
Ha Noi (VNA) – Viet Nam is determined to consolidate and strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperation with the communist party and people of Cuba .
The statement was made by Ho Duc Viet, Chairman of the Communist Party of Viet Nam’s Commission for Organisation while receiving a delegation from the Commission for Organisation of the Communist Party of Cuba, led by its Vice Chairman Orlando Sardinas Gonzalez, in Ha Noi on February 20.
Viet, who is also a Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, congratulated Cuba on the important achievements the country have made under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba depite the US’s unjust embargo.
For his part, Vice Chairman Gonzalez said he was pleased to visit Viet Nam , the country of President Ho Chi Minh, and witness its great achievements during the renewal process.
The delegation had earlier held talks with a Vietnamese Organisation Commission delegation headed by Vice Chairman Pham Van Tho.
