Chile’s investors eyes Viet Nam as potential market
Ha Noi (VNA) – Chile’s El Mercurio newspaper has run an article by former Santiago mayor Joaquin Lavin praising Viet Nam’s renovation achievements, especially in the field of poverty reduction.
Viet Nam is one of the fastest – growing countries in the world with its average economic growth of 7,5% in the past ten years, the paper noted, stressing that the country is considered the most potential market for Chile’s investors.
Joaquin Lavin, who led a group of Chilean students on a fact-finding trip to Viet Nam on January, remarked that traditional relations between Chile and Viet Nam has been consolidated for a long time and the trade exchange between the two countries has been strengthened in recent years.
He said Chilean investors consider Viet Nam as a base for expanding their business in Asia.
