State President receives new envoys of Japan, Benin
Ha Noi (VNA) – President Nguyen Minh Triet has received Japanese ambassador to Viet Nam Mitsuo Sakaba and Beninese ambassador to Viet Nam Apithy Sedozan Jean-Claude following a credentials presentation ceremony in Ha Noi on March 4.
In his meeting with Sabaka, President Triet spoke of his pleasure at the fine development of Viet Nam-Japan cooperation in recent years. He said he appreciated Japan ’s support on two projects to upgrade transport systems in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City , especially the building of the urban railway system in HCM City recently.
He affirmed that Viet Nam will strive to boost friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Japan .
President Triet told Ambassador Apithy Sedozan Jean-Claude in their meeting that Viet Nam wants to share its experience with the country in economic development, poverty reduction and agricultural development.
He said Viet Nam is ready to send experts and business people to Benin and expected to invest in Benin ’s agricultural sector.
Viet Nam always attaches importance to friendship and cooperation with Benin , he said, adding that relevant agencies of the two countries should promote bilateral cooperation, boosting Viet Nam-Bening ties.
The Beninese Ambassador said Benin always encouraged Vietnamese to invest in the country and pledged to create favourable conditions for them.
