China places importance on cooperation with VN


Beijing (VNA) – The chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference has confirmed that the Chinese Party, Government and people always place importance on the friendly neighbouring relationship and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam .

Chairman Jia Qinglin, who is also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee (CPCCC), was receiving Tran Van Hang, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) in Beijing on April 23.

Chairman Jia said he believed the Chinese and Vietnamese Parties, States and peoples would continue to work towards raising their bilateral relationship.

He took the opportunity to hail the achievements recorded by the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the CPVCC in economic development, external relations and improving the standard of living.

Tran Van Hang, who is also Director of the CPVCC’s Commission for External Relations, commended China’s impressive achievements and development in socialist reform and construction.

He said he was pleased with the development of bilateral relations with China . Vietnam would like to pursue its external policy of independence, self-reliance, openness, multilateralisation and diversification, alongside developing its friendship and all-round cooperation with the Chinese Party, State and people.

On the same day, CPCCC member and State Councilor of China’s State Council Dai Bingguo received and hosted a banquet in honour Tran Van Hang and his entourage.

On April 22, the Vietnamese delegation held talks with the CPCCC’s International Liaison Department, led by its Head Wang Jiarui. Both sides informed each other of their Party and country’s situation and discussed ways to boost cooperation between the two Parties, the Commission for External Relations and the International Liaison Department.
