Energy powers cooperation between Vietnam, Ukraine
Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has welcomed Ukraine businesses to join bids to supply equipment for Vietnam ’s hydro- and thermo-electric power projects and to transfer its mining technology to Vietnam .
Deputy PM Hai made the statement while receiving Ukraine Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs V.T. Piatnhiski in Hanoi on May 7.
Vietnam believes in further development of the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Ukraine with the two governments’ joint efforts, Hai said.
Deputy Minister Piatnhiski, who is also chairman of the Vietnam-Ukraine Inter-governmental Committee on economic-commercial and scientific-technological cooperation, agreed and said energy development is necessary and important for stable economic growth.
The potential field will facilitate expansion of cooperation between the two countries’ businesses, he said.
Piatnhiski told Deputy PM Hai that Ukraine was busy preparing to host the final round of the 2012 European Football Championship (EURO 2012) and invited Vietnamese and other foreign investors to take part in assisting Ukraine to build infrastructure such as bridges, roads and airports.-
