Three accords mark Rwanda President’s visit
Hanoi (VNA) - President Nguyen Minh Triet and his Rwanda counterpart, Paul Kagame, witnessed the signing of agreements in healthcare, education and scientific research, and agriculture in Hanoi on May 23 as the outcome of their talks held earlier in the day.
President Triet described the accords as evidence of the two countries’ determination to boost traditional ties in various fields.
“Vietnam always welcomes Rwanda delegations interested in looking for opportunities of cooperation,” the State leader told reporters after the signing of the accords.
For his part, President Paul Kagame said their talks had focused on concrete measures necessary for ministries and agencies to take so as to boost bilateral relations.
“We agreed to continue our good and strong partnership in the future,” concluded the Rwanda president.
President Paul Kagame arrived in Hanoi on May 23 for an official visit to Vietnam with a red-carpet welcoming ceremony at the Presidential palace.-
