Foreign Ministry helps Chinese, Myanmar victims
Hanoi (VNA) – In response to an appeal from the Vietnam Red Cross (VRC), the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry on May 26 raised money to help victims of southwestern Sichuan province in China and the victims of the Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar .
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem, leaders of Party organisations and ministry staff have donated at least one day of their salary to help the Chinese and Myanmar victims in the aftermath of the natural disasters that rocked the respective countries.
The Vietnam Red Cross will give donations to the families of victims.
