Pakistani Senator aims closer ties with Vietnam
Hanoi (VNA) - Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, has described his country’s close relations with Vietnam, especially in legislature, as a contribution to build a better future for Asia in the 21st century.
The senator, who was on a visit to Vietnam in the very early July, told Vietnam News Agency that Vietnam and Pakistan have great potential of cooperation, especially in trade, when the two countries have a large number of strategic commodities such as rice, fruit and vegetables, leather shoes and cotton.
He also described the potential of cooperation between the two legislative bodies and the two countries as a whole as unlimited.
He pointed to necessary measures to be taken by the two countries to translate potential into reality, including further exchanges of visits at all levels and stronger partnership in economics and trade.
