Chile’s investments to soon pour into Vietnam
Buenos Aires (VNA) – Chilean businesses will invest more into Vietnam in the near future, local media reported.
Reporting data from the Chilean Foreign Ministry, local business daily “Strategy” said that for close to two decades, Chilean businesses invested nearly 50 billion USD in more than 60 countries, mostly focusing on Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Colombia.
However, Chilean companies are moving to expand their business into non-traditional markets, including Central America, Africa, and Asia, the “Strategy” said, adding that Vietnam will be one of the country’s top targets.
Last year, a delegation of 18 Chilean small-and-medium businesses visited Vietnam. Almost all of them expressed interest in doing business in the Southeast Asian nation, the paper said.
