PM pledges favourable conditions for Israeli businesses
Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has pledged to create favourable conditions for Israeli businesses to invest in Vietnam .
The PM made the statement while receiving Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Ephraim Ben Matityau and an Israeli business delegation in Hanoi on July 14.
The PM said he was pleased with the fine development of the two countries’ cooperative relations in many sectors, including economics, trade, investment, education and training.
PM Dung praised the ambassador’s contribution to promoting Vietnam-Israel relations and said Vietnam will soon open its embassy in Israel to boost the two countries’ ties.
The PM welcomed the Israel group’s intention to invest in Vietnam .
Ambassador Ephraim Ben Matityau said the two countries’ effective cooperation in economy and education has benefited both sides.
He noted that Israel is opening two training courses in agriculture under a cooperation programme with Vietnam and will welcome 200 Vietnamese students for study in this area in 2009.
Israeli leading groups said they hoped to invest in Vietnam ’s oil and gas exploration and mining, oil refineries and petrol distribution, energy, insurance and banking, hotels and salt water treatment industries.
