Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong said he hoped Vietnam and Ukraine will accelerate their friendship and multi-faceted cooperation, especially relations between the two countries’ national assemblies.
The NA Chairman made the remark while receiving outgoing Ukrainian ambassador to Vietnam Pavlo Sultansky in Hanoi on July 24.
The Ukrainian diplomat said the two countries had traditional relations and highlighted the NA Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu’s recent visit to Ukraine which aimed to boost the two national assemblies’ relations.
In spite of the long distance between the two countries, Ukraine and Vietnam still have many opportunities to cooperate with each other and integrate into the region, the ambassador said.
He promised that he will try his best to make further contribution to the two countries’ friendship and cooperation.
