Fatherland Front helps strengthen ties with Myanmar

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) said that it will carry out more activities to enhance the friendship between the people of Vietnam and Myanmar.

Hanoi (VNA) – VFF Central Committee President Huynh Dam made the statement while receiving Secretariat Member of Myanmar’s Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA) and Minister of Information Kyaw Hsan in Hanoi on August 5.

Dam lauded the visit by the USDA’s delegation and said visits and exchanges between the VFF and the USDA are a vivid manifestation of cooperation and friendship between the two people.

Kyaw Hsan said he was pleased to visit Vietnam and to see with his own eyes the country’s development.

The VFF has made contributions to Vietnam’s accomplishments by encouraging people to unite to protect and defend the nation, he said, adding that his organisation wanted to learn the VFF’s experiences in this area.

After 15 years of establishment, the USDA has worked closely with the VFF in activities to strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries, Kyaw Hsan said.
