Vietnamese military delegation visits Cuba
Deputy Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Phan Trung Kien led a top level Vietnamese military delegation on a visit to Cuba from August 4-8.
During the visit, the Vietnamese guests worked with Senior Lieutenant General Joaquin Quintas Sola, Deputy Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Forces, Lieutenant General Ramon Pardo Guerre, Head of the Cuban Civil Defence Department, and Rear Admiral Luis Gonzalez Navarro, Deputy Commander of the Cuban Revolutionary Navy.
During the meeting, both parties highlighted the constant development of friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and two States. They also exchanged their views on military tactics and their experiences in weapons maintenance. The Cuban emphasized the need to build up civil defence forces and hold training courses for rescue forces. (VOV)
