Vietnam and Bolivia discuss measures to boost cooperation
Deputy Minister Guzman affirmed that Bolivia attaches great importance to boosting the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam .
The Vietnamese contingent praised the Bolivian people’s past achievements under the leadership of President Evo Morales and expressed thanks to the Bolivian government and people for their past and present solidarity and support, particularly for their support for Vietnam’s accession to the World Trade Organisation and its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2008-09 term.
The two sides applauded active developments in the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and examined measures to increase cooperation in sectors that possess potential for development, such as oil and gas, mining, agriculture, industry and trade.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern and agreed to continue their cooperation and support of one other at international organisations and multilateral forums such as the UN, the WTO and the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) for the benefit of each nation and other developing countries, whilst working together towards global peace, equality and prosperity.
