The task was set at the association’s third national congress which convened in Hanoi on Nov. 1, focusing its work for the 2008-2013 period.
VHFA will assist local companies to participate in ODA projects funded by Hungary and increase the exchanges and friendship activities between the Vietnamese and Hungarian people.
In the next term, the association is set to expand its chapters in localities and schools, and encourage the participation of officials and students who had worked and studied in Hungary .
Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Laszlo Vizi said at the event that he will try his best to develop the bilateral relations and create favourable conditions for Hungarian businesses to seek cooperation opportunities and partners in Vietnam .
The congress elected a 36-member executive committee with Vice Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Dang Vang acted as President.
