Swiss President calls Vietnam a country of future
Geneva (VNA) – Swiss President Pascal Couchepin has described Vietnam as a country of the future during his reception of outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Nguyen Ngoc Son.
The Swiss leader told Ambassador Son, who paid him a farewell visit at the end of his working term in Switzerland on Nov. 4 that Vietnam has untapped potentials for recording a high growth rate and the country is a destination where foreign investors should eye on.
President Couchepin said he was satisfactory with the outcome of his visit to Vietnam last August and the wide-ranging expansion in his country’s multi-dimensional and durable relationship with Vietnam .
The Swiss President told the diplomat that he was convinced that the two countries’ ties would be developing strongly in the coming time.
Ambassador Son thanked for President Couchepin and the Swiss people’s sentiments towards Vietnam and reconfirmed the Vietnamese Government’s desire to beef up all-around relations with the European country, particularly in economy and education and training.
