Vietnam, China to push up hi-tech cooperation

Beijing (VNA) – Vietnam and China have agreed to further enhance their science and technology cooperation in the future, particularly in hi-tech development and attraction of foreign investment into hi-tech zones.

The agreement was reached during the talks in Beijing on Dec. 8 between the two ministries of Science and Technology.

The two sides stressed the need for them to share experiences in the construction of hi-tech zones, the management of intellectual property in the sci-tech area and the formulation of quality standards in the field.

During its stay in China from Dec. 7-14, the delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology plans to visit a number of industrial zones, universities, research centres and prominent businesses in Shanghai City and Hainan province.
