Vietnam attends int’l business fair in Hong Kong

(VNA) – Information regarding the Vietnamese investment environment and its foreign investment policies was introduced at the international small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) fair in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China , from Dec. 10-12.

According to the Vietnamese Deputy Consul General, Vu Thinh Cuong, the Vietnamese stall, hosted for the first time by the Hong Kong and Macau-based Consulate General, attracted the attention of businessmen from Hong Kong, south China and several Asian countries, who expressed keen interest in Vietnam ’s realty, processing for export and financial services.

They also praised the measures taken by the Vietnamese government to stabilise the nation’s economy in the context of the global financial crisis.

Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi SME Association, Dang Dung is expected to deliver a speech at a seminar regarding Vietnam ’s potential in the new economic environment on Dec. 12.
This year’s fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Promotion Department, attracted almost 300 SMEs from more than 60 countries and territories./.
