Overseas Vietnamese celebrate Lunar New Year
Vietnamese Ambassador Le Cong Phung to the US on Jan. 23 held a reception to Vietnamese people living and working in the country to celebrate the Lunar New Year Festival (the Year of the Buffalo).
Ambassador Phung informed the overseas Vietnamese on the Government’s policy to wards Vietnamese people living abroad. He expressed his wish that the Vietnamese community in the US integrate well in the local society.
About 300 representatives from the Association of Adopted Parents of Children from Vietnam attended also the celebration.
Similar functions were also held at the Vietnamese Embassies in Mexico and South Africa on Jan. 23 and in Bangladesh on Jan. 24./.
