Vietnamese businesses in Germany seek opportunities for growth
The event drew the participation of Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany, Do Hoa Binh, as well as trade counselors and representatives from more than 100 businesses in Germany.
Speaking at the congress, Ambassador Do Hoa Binh praised the achievements of overseas Vietnamese businesses in recent years and pledged to assist them in boosting business operations and expanding relations with German trade partners.
The congress elected a new executive board of 19 members who are all outstanding entrepreneurs and committed to taking part in the association’s activities.
Since its establishment in 2001, the Vietnamese Business Association has developed strongly and provided consultation and assistance services to Vietnamese businesses. The association also helped Vietnamese business circles strengthen relations with local partners.
In the future, the association will set up local branches and cooperate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany to organise economic and cultural events as part of activities to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic ties in 2010. It will also host the Vietnamese businesspersons’ forum in Europe in September 2009.
