Deputy foreign minister visits Iran to boost ties

VNA - Vietnam wishes to develop friendship and boost multifaceted cooperation with Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Doan Xuan Hung has said.

During his visit to the Middle-east country from April 11-14, the Vietnamese diplomat also affirmed Vietnam’s policy of openness, multilateralisation and diversification of international relations at meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Motaki and other government officials.

The Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister briefed the hosts on Vietnam’s achievements during the country’s 20 years of renewal process and informed them of the Southeast Asian country’s measures against the current financial crisis and economic recession.

Foreign Minister Motaki expressed his hope to expand cooperation in all aspects with Vietnam./.
