Thailand writes books of Dien Bien Phu victory
VNA - President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap and Vietnam’s victory over the French colonialism in Dien Bien Phu are topics of three newly-published books in Thailand.
The books, written in Thai language, were introduced to overseas Vietnamese in Thailand at a get-together in Bangkok on May 8 to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7).
Prida Panomyong, author of the book about Vietnam’s talented General Giap, said this is the second book he writes about Vietnamese famous people following another about President Ho.
He said he hoped these books would help Thai people understand more about Vietnam’s history and people.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Duy Hung also attended the get-together./.
