Vietnam, Bolivia to boost cooperation

VNA - A delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, led by Deputy Minister Do Huu Hao reached agreement with Bolivian officials about measures to boost economic and trade ties between the two countries.

During their four-day working visit from May 13-16, the Vietnamese delegation had working sessions with Bolivian Energy, Oil and Gas Minister Oscar Coca Antezana, and the deputy ministers of Foreign Affairs, Science and technology, Trade and Exports as well as the National Oil and Gas Company executives.

The two sides agreed to increase the exchange of delegations and strive to sign cooperation agreements in the fields of economy, commerce, energy, agriculture and science and technology.

The two sides will also encourage trade promotion activities and investment in oil and gas within the frame work of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries’ national oil and gas firms in March.

The Bolivian side said they wanted to learn from Vietnamese experiences in national construction and development, especially in food production, oil and gas industry and poverty reduction./.
