Expatriates in Canada raise funds for the blind
VNA - Successful real estate developer Dinh Huu Hung, on behalf of the Vietnamese community in Canada, handed over 9,130 CAD (8,300 USD) on June 2 to the Vietnamese embassy to help eye patients at home.

He asked the embassy to transfer the sum, raised at a charity gala of Vietnamese-Canadians, to ophthalmic centres in Vietnam to operate on poor and disadvantaged people with eye problems.
Ambassador Nguyen Duc Hung said that he would send the money to Vietnam as soon as possible and expressed his thanks to the overseas Vietnamese community in Canada for their charitable donations to alleviate the plight of unlucky people with visual impairments./.
