MoIT presents insignia to Vietnamese in Canada

VNA 12/07/2009 - The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has recently presented the “For the development of Vietnam’s industry and trade sector” insignia to six overseas Vietnamese in Canada.

The awardees included Do Trac Bang, President of the Vietnam-Canada Overseas Vietnamese Friendship Association; Giang Tu Binh, President of H&H Group; and President of the Kien Phat Company Hua Van Hao.

President of the Good Lucky Company Nham Tai Phuc, President of the Ocean Packers Company Huynh Minh Liang and Tran Thi Luong, President of the LMD Company and Vice President of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association in Toronto were also honoured.

Speaking at the award ceremony in Canada, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Duc Hung highly valued the overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs’ contributions to the country’s industrial and commercial development, saying that they have helped boost the trade relations between Canada and Vietnam.

On behalf of the insignia receivers, Bang vowed to make more contributions to the national construction and development.

As many as 14 overseas Vietnamese in Canada have so far this year received the MoIT’s insignia./.
