With its abundant natural tourism resources, its unique, UNESCO-recognised cultural assets, together with political stability and a dynamic economy, Vietnam is an attractive destination for foreign visitors, according to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh.

Cooperation in culture and tourism between Vietnam and China contributed to promoting exchange, mutual understanding and trust between the two nations, Vietnam’s Ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho said.

Meanwhile, Head of the China National Tourism Administration’s International Relations Promotion Department Liu Kezhi said that China plans to increase multifaceted cooperation with Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam.

Since the two countries signed an MOU on tourism in 2000, visitors from China have always accounted for the largest number of foreign tourists to Vietnam .

In 2007, Vietnam welcomed 558,719 Chinese tourists and 650,055 in 2008./.
